Earlier this semester Tigers were shocked to hear that we were receiving new office staff due to the fact that the pervious nurse, secretary and attendance secretary were transferred. Change can be worrisome, but it helps that these new faces come with great personalities.

Meet Ms. Addy the new secretary. She began her official position this March. When we asked what her favorite part of school was so far, Addy said, “Everything, everything is great.” Later she explained how she got to this position and told us her previous jobs. She said, “I was working in Merced as a security guard at a High School. I wanted to work in schools and I have a boyfriend that works in Redwood city so everything just came together.” The previous positions she has held included being a security guard, a legal secretary in a law firm and working in a saw mill.

Now let’s introduce you to Ms. Sarah, the new attendance secretary. Not only is she the attendance secretary here in the office, she is the mother to four kids that attend schools in the district. So far, Ms. Sarah enjoys, “Working really close to home.” Before she was confirmed to work here full time, she was the attendance secretary during summer school as well as the substitute while they were looking for a permanent attendance secretary.

Finally, meet our new nurse, Ms. Alex. Not only is she a full-time nurse she also enjoys spending her time being a jazz vocalist. She is a huge fan of Harry Potter, her favorite character being Snape and her is least favorite is Ginny. She is happy to be at our school and she thinks that the staff is very nice and welcoming.

We had a really fun time interviewing and getting to know our new staff better. In the end, we are very grateful to have found such caring and funny staff.
